Tha King has been making music since he was 15 years old after his older brother was killed in a car accident. Music has always been a part of his life and has always been a heavy influence on his soul. It all started when his dad first introduced him to the music game, MGC THA KING told us that…
“I was probably introduced to music the first day out of the hospital, when I was born, my pops was bumping when I was in the backseat on the way to the cradle, that’s where the journey started.”
2pac was one of MGC THA KING’s earliest inspirations saying that Makaveli helped him get through a lot of trouble even though they weren’t exactly going through the same things.
“ That’s one of the many beauties of music; it’s more than just an art form; it’s a bridge that can transform lives. 2Pac is still the greatest to this day.”

WE ASKED MGC THA KING: ARE YOU INVOLVED WITH YOUR COMMUNITY? IF SO, HOW?
“I am a counselor and teacher, not in the standard sense of those words. I don’t have a degree, I help those in need and have a heart for the less fortunate; I help those in a struggle big or small as best as I can. I’m not a part of an organization, I was just sent to do what I am meant to.”
