WHO IS SOUTHEAST!?
Southeast is one of the hottest Singers, Rappers, & Performers coming straight out of the Midwest.
He was born in Malawi, Africa but his family moved out to America in 1997 where they relocated in Mishawaka, South Bend Indiana! Southeast also said…
“Major shout out to the 574 area code right outside of Chi town! Shout out Gary, Indiana too.”
All his life SouthEast grew up playing violin and bass, he performed at school talent shows around the ages of 8 and 9 and started because his father introduced him to music early on.
Some of southeast greatest inspirations would have to be Bob Marley, notorious BIG, Tupac, Michael Jackson, and Master P.
“Bob Marley was the first inspiration that I can think of because of Bob’s great music that you can dance and cry to. All of his records had a message, which was very powerful!”
South east has an on comparable style to any other artist because it styles vary from hip-hop, funk R&B, soul, and alternative! What makes his music different is that it’s flexible and John are branding at any given moment! It’s fearless and ambitious because he’s not afraid to experiment! There’s no limit to his art!
Southeast released his first single called ex-wife and it’s probably one of the hottest singles of 2020 maybe even the decade! This is a hard core drill trap influenced and turn up MOSHPIT type of vibe! Whenever you feel down or at a club all they have to do is play ex-wife and it’s going to get everybody moving!
Southeast plans on releasing three projects this year! The first one is going to be a collection of records he’s been working on over the past year that will detail the trials and tribulations of a young player coming up in the game.
Southeast does his part in the community by reaching out & volunteering and helping out the homeless and at risk youth. He’s performed at homeless shelters, cherry divans, and food drives. His role is philanthropy because he’s been on the receiving end of a few helping hand so he’s got a pay it forward he says.
