UP & COMING ARTISTS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2020 – BIG WYNO

UP & COMING ARTISTS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2020 – BIG WYNO

WHO IS BIG WYNO!?

This is the OG Emcee, Producer, & Engineer hybrid from San Diego, California. Big Wyno currently lives in Colorado, but has made some stops living in Washington, & Oregon before he finally settled in the mountain state.

Big Wyno has been making music since he was 6 years old, he started in elementary school playing the piano, eventually picking up the saxophone and trumpet & mastering those too. He started making music because he didn’t live on the best side of the town, stating it was ghetto, and the only escape he had felt was when he was playing instruments. Music became a consistent outlet in Big Wyno’s life, he picked up the mic and started rapping at 12 years old with a group of friends who were inspired by the Emcee’s they seen on TV, they havn’t stopped making music since.

His style is unapologetically Hip Hop, his music is different because he does not chase the trends other artists do.

Hip Hop has always been a part of Big Wyno’s Life, as a kid his mom would pack him and his sister up and head to Balboa Park in San Diego, California, they remember that they used to love dancing with the B-Boys in their old school suede Adidas track suits.

These trips are part of the reason Big Wyno is highly isnpired by the culture, he said…

My mom would always be bumpin LL Cool J, Salt n’ Pepa, Prince, Tina Marie, Blondie, KRS ONE, 2 Live Crew. They inspired me because they’re music became the soundtrack to my youth.”

Big Wyno currently has 3 albums out and releases 2 Singles every 2 weeks on all of the major platforms. His last project is titled: “A Caged Bird”. Big Wyno wrote “A Caged Bird” while serving a life sentence in prison, he was finally released after serving a 7 year term for a crime that he did not get found guilty of.

GO STREAM HIS LATEST PROJECT!:

After being incarcerated for this long the first thing Big Wyno had planned was to record that project.

I recorded the entire album in the first 72 hours of my release from prison. The album covers my thoughts and feelings in that situation.”

Since then, Big Wyno has continued to drop 12 new singles with features from legends like Aceyalone, He has also taken the oppurtunity to go on tour with Ghost Face Killah & Killa Priest from the Wu-Tang Clan, & X-Rated. Big Wyno has been on the move and on the stage performing at over 80 shows on the west coast in the past couple of years.

Big Wyno plans on releasing 1 track per week during 2020. The concept of this work ethic is to prove that hard work pays off.

I will have several features with Killah Priest, Chino XL, Scarub of Living Legends, Solid Savage, Fumes the Threat, Black Pegasus and many more on this 52 song adventure. I will cover every topic imaginable.“

WE ASKED BIG WYNO: ARE YOU INVOLVED IN YOUR COMMUNITY? IF SO, HOW?

I volunteer my time for many special events to raise money & awareness for charities such as toys for tots, homeless outreaches and individual fundraisers. I help feed the homeless for thanksgiving and Christmas. I also help teach at risk youth about music in correctional detention centers, hoping to give them the same escape I found in music!”

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO TELL YOUR SUPPORTERS?

People who support and ride with me on this journey are family to me, I sincerely appreciate you. I am fortunate to be a part of your life and I hope I continue to be worthy of your love, admiration and support as we take on these challenges and continue down this path together. Rated Ill Familia.”
